If you are 18 years or older and you write music, you can participate. Singers, Bands and Musicians from all countries have equal chances to win the grand prize. It’s easy: 1. Sign Up 2. Upload a video or a YouTube link of your original Song until 1 July 2013. 3. Nominate your Song to participate in Global Rockstar 2013. PLEASE NOTE: You can only participate with one Song. You can nominate a Song that you have uploaded prior to the start of Global Rockstar 2013. You cannot nominate a Song that participated in Global Rockstar 2012. The Song you nominate cannot participate in future Global Rockstar Contests.HOW CAN YOU NOMINATE YOUR SONG?

First, you need to win the national Pre-Selections of your country. The national Pre-Selections and the Global Finals are divided into 8 rounds (from the Preliminaries to the Final). You need to get the maximum of user/fan votes or a wild card from the Jury to advance to the next round.HOW DOES THE VOTING WORK?
A mix of user/fan voting and Jury voting determine if you advance to the next round. Fan voting: Every signed in user/fan can vote in the Arena. Fan voting in the Arena determines the Charts. Your chart position at the end of a round decides if you advance to the next round. Jury voting: A Jury of professionals from the music business gives wild cards that help you to advance to the next round, no matter what your chart position is at the end of a round.HOW DOES THE ARENA WORK?
The Arena is a unique voting tool that we developed to ensure maximum fairness for all contestants. In the Arena, 2 Songs are displayed in random duels. All Songs are displayed equally often around the world. Users/fans listen to both Songs and vote for the one they prefer. The next random duel is only displayed after voting for one Song. Users/fans can judge over all random duels displayed in the Arena (one round) once every 24 hours. To stay fair to the artists, users/fans have to listen to both Songs of a duel before they can vote. Users/fans have to listen to each Song of a duel at least 20 sec before they can vote. User/fans can vote with a Facebook Like, a Tweet, or the Global Rockstar „Love it!“ button. VOTING WITH FACEBOOK OR TWITTER: To vote with a Facebook Like or a Tweet requires that the user/fan is signed in to Global Rockstar and signed in to Facebook/Twitter. During Global Rockstar 2013, users/fans can vote for the same Song with a Facebook Like/a Tweet only once. VOTING WITH THE GLOBAL ROCKSTAR „LOVE IT!“ BUTTON: To vote with the „Love it!“ button requires that the user/fan is signed in to Global Rockstar. The „Love it!“ button makes it possible to vote for the same Song multiple times in the interval of 24 hours.WHAT IS THE LUCKY WILD CARD?
You might see duels where only one video is displayed. Instead of video 2, you´ll see a picture showing a „Lucky wild card“. Then, video one is lucky, because, due to an odd number of nominations in a round (this can happen), one video gets automatically a vote through the “Lucky wild card” . You have the same chances than any other contestants to win these wild cards once in a while since the duels are always displayed randomly.WHAT IS THE FACEBOOK ARENA?
The Facebook Arena starts on 1 June. The Global Rockstar Arena becomes then available on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/TheGlobalRockstar Users/fans can vote in the Facebook Arena just as on the Global Rockstar website. CONTACTING THE WINNER
On 20 December the winner will be notified by email. If the winner does not respond to the notification attempt within 4 days, then the second placed Song will be announced as winner of Global Rockstar 2013.PRIZE GIVING
The Participants agree that a copy of an identification can be requested if fraud is suspected or to verify whether the Rules of Participation and Terms & Conditions have been met and the final (physical) Prizes are sent by post or courier service. The costs of the logistics will not have to be paid by the Winners.LEGAL
All voting decisions are legally binding; there is no recourse to legal action. There is no right of appeal against the jury’s decisions.Global Rockstar reserves the right to disqualify your nomination if the infomations that you provide during your registration or while uploading are not correct.The voting for any songs uploaded on the website is governed by the following rules. If you violate these rules, we may disqualify your song from the contest and/or delete your account. • Do not create multiple accounts. Each user is permitted to hold only one account.• Do not create automated systems to artificially increase the votes for your song or for a song you support.
